THE SOVEIDA HARP’S UNVEILING
A SURPRISING PERFORMANCE IN A THEATRICAL SETTING
With its twenty outward reaching tubular tentacles (ten on each side) extending into tombak-like conches, the Soveida harp will be unveiled for the first time in these ‘living sculpture’ performances.
Further details about all performers, with photos, are on the website www.performativity.co.uk.
Please also see the facebook pages of AMIR KONJANI andSIONED WILLIAMS for updates and ‘blog type’ news.
TO BE SOMEONE ELSE IS A BATTLE
Encounter a rusty, metallic soundworld inspired by otherness and displacement as you explore the combination of contemporary classical music with spatialisation, video art, performing sculpture and movement over a66-metre graphic score. Witness the debut performance of a new instrument, the Soveida Harp, based on the Persian چنَگ (chang), which articulates its sound in eerie stereo.
