Catherine White Harp Recital

Catherine will play Fauré, Debussy and more.
Catherine is an award winning, highly talented, international harpist who has enjoyed a wide-ranging career on both sides of the Atlantic, performing in prestigious venues under the baton of famous conductors including Sir Simon Rattle and Sir Bernard Haitink.  She will join the audience for a light lunch after the recital.

Donations sought in aid of the Church Restoration and Maintenance Appeal.

Hempstead Harp Party

The Hempstead Harp Party will again be welcoming Stephen Dunstone to lead a group of about 17 adult harpists (of all abilities) in a day of harp ensemble activities in the village hall in Hempstead, North Norfolk.

All the pieces to be worked on will be available in advance of the course.

Participation is just £35 for the day.

Aldeburgh Harp Course


26th - 29th October 2017
Aldeburgh, Suffolk IP15 5JQ 
10am to 4pm

The course is held at the home of Miriam Keogh and Michael Hurwitz in Aldeburgh, Suffolk IP15 5JQ

Accommodation is provided in neighbouring guest houses. There will be a parent supervisor in residence with the Junior Group.

Excellent food is provided by Michael.

COURSE STRUCTURE
The course is designed to improve ensemble playing, general technique, sight reading and performance skills.

The timetable includes a daily warm up and technique class, ensemble classes at three levels; Junior, Intermediate and Senior, with all students playing in Full Ensemble in the evening. Family and friends are invited to an informal concert on the final evening.

Music for the course is sent out in advance to allow thorough preparation. Each session lasts one hour and a half although times may vary from day to day.

LEISURE TIME
To balance the high level of musical concentration there will be free time in the afternoons with opportunities to have supervised visits to Aldeburgh with its wonderful beach and interesting High Street as well as the beautiful Thorpeness Mere.

FEE £360.00 Includes all tuition, meals and accommodation.

Paraguayan Harp Concert
