Harp Meet and Retreat Monthly

Monthly from 8th May 2017 (2nd Monday of the month)

Crystal Palace, SE London

Fun, friendly, inspiring workshop for adults harpists (over 18) of all abilities.

The group will be hosted by Keziah Thomas and will include some ensemble playing and technical work. During the tea break there is a chance to informally perform a solo piece and then the group will welcome a guest tutor to lead a workshop in the second part of the evening.

All abilities and types of harps are very welcome.

    Glasbury Arts Harp Summer School

    30th August - 2nd September 2017
    Gwernyfed High School, Three Cocks, Brecon, Powys LD3 0SG

    After a year off, the Harp Summer School returns for another year of workshops and masterclasses for up to 40 young people and adults. The aim is to help participants improve their harp playing in a range of genres, with special emphasis on innovative technique development.

    The school will be led by Harriet Earis (jazz/fusion harp and improvisation); Eleanor Turner (classical harp), and Adriano Sangineto (Itallian folk and continental dance music).

    Workshops and classes will be run over the four days with rehearsals on the final day, culminating in a concert featuring the students and teachers.

    Harp Masterclass Series in Kirkcaldy

    Session 3: Saturday 2nd September 2017
    Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland

    The Harp Masterclass Series is a three sessions masterclass with the harpist Monica Turoni. It takes place once a month between July and September 2017.

    Each session includes:

    One-to-one tuition in a masterclass setting (for each active participant)
    Technical instruction (strings replacement etc.)
    Closing Concert of all active participants at the end of the three sessions periods.


    Harpists from the very young age up to Conservatoire level on both the Clarsach and pedal harp. All levels are welcome


    For single session:
    *Active students:
    - Pedal Harp: £ 60 (lunch included)
    - Clarsach/Celtic/lever harp: £ 30 (lunch included)
    *Auditors: £ 20

    Hempstead Harp Party

    Sunday 15th October 2017

    The Hempstead Harp Party will again be welcoming Stephen Dunstone to lead a group of about 17 adult harpists (of all abilities) in a day of harp ensemble activities in the village hall in Hempstead, North Norfolk.

    All the pieces to be worked on will be available in advance of the course.

    Participation is just £35 for the day.
