We have stocked Dusty Strings harps for a number of years and have never failed to be impressed by their commitment to craftsmanship and the outstanding quality of their harps.
In Summer 2011 we visited the Dusty Strings workshops in Seattle, USA. There we fell in love with the hammered dulcimers that they have been lovingly building since 1979. So we decided to add Dusty Strings’ hammered dulcimers to our range because we thought our customers might well fall in love with them too!
We stock several Dusty Strings hammered dulcimer models. They differ in size, materials and bracing methods, and each offer their own benefits, from the affordable Prelude with a sweet, balanced sound and easy portability, to the substantial and incredibly lush-sounding D550. All of them demonstrate why Dusty Strings has long held a reputation for high quality woodworking, innovation and simply for making hammered dulcimers that are beautiful to look at and a pleasure to own and play.
