Who is Who
At the core of Clive Morley Harps is its people, from the 'driving force' to the 'roving amabassador'.
Clive Morley
Clive is the driving force behind Morley Harps - and he is showing no signs of slowing down! He is committed to supporting the harp in the UK and, by making it possible for new generations of harpists to play high quality, affordable instruments, he is a key figure in the harp's recent return to popularity.
Clive has worked closely with harp teachers and colleges of music over the years - most recently, he founded the London Harp Competition.
Kate Morley
Kate keeps us all organised and makes sure that Goodfellows is such a lovely environment to visit.
She is responsible for publishing the "Clive Morley Collection" of historical harp sheet music.
Ben Morley
Previously employed in IT & Telecoms, Ben joined the family business in 2002.
As part of his apprenticeship for the "Worshipful Company of Musicians", Ben worked in the old Morley Piano Factory in London while growing up. With this hands on experience of musical instruments, he quickly learnt to regulate and service harps in the Aoyama harp factory in Japan.
Ben is involved with the day to day running of the business.
Ruth Thomas
Ruth Thomas is our Harp Sales Assistant. An accomplished harpist, Ruth joined us full time in January 2009 to look after our customers and to offer help and advice on all aspects of purchasing a harp from us. She is the friendly face you meet if you visit our showrooms or attend one of our many workshops or exhibitions.
Ruth is also our on site harp teacher, available to teach all ages and abilities.
A harpist since the age of eleven, Ruth has a keen love of a wide range of music and a particular passion for the harp in Wales, which she studied for her Masters' Degree at Cardiff University.
Clare Thompson
Clare is our Office Manager.
She keeps us all in line and ensures that the office runs smoothly from day to day.
Clare deals with all financial matters, so she is the one to contact with any payment or invoicing queries.
Kathryn Cook
Kathryn is in charge of music and string orders.
She is the person who makes sure that all your orders are fulfilled efficiently and promptly.
Kathryn also handles the rental side of things, so if you have a query about your harp rental, she is the person to contact.
Paula Smith
Paula is our webmistress.
Apart from managing our marketing material, Paula is a professional harpist, singer and composer. Her performances have ranged from playing the harp live in front of six million people on BBC1 to playing in a babies' intensive care ward in a Dublin hospital.
