Sally Pryce is one of the leading harpists of her generation. Born in 1979, Sally Pryce studied at the Purcell School and Royal College of Music with Daphne Boden, graduating in 2001 with first class honours and the Worshipful Company of Musician's Silver Medal. The Young Concert Artists Trust (YCAT) selected her for representation in 2003.During her studies, Sally won numerous national and international prizes, including first prize in the 1999 London Harp Competition and in 1998, she reached the final six in the prestigious International Harp Contest held in Israel. In 1996 she won the Marisa Robles Harp Prize in the Royal Over-Seas League Competition and was a finalist in the BBC Young Musicians Competition.
This is an opportunity not to be missed for all students of the harp.
Harp will be provided for use during the class - no need to bring your own.

19th Nippon Harp Competition - 14th-18th November 2007
The 19th Nippon Harp Competition is organised by the Nippon Harp Association and the Soka City Cultural Organisation for the purpose of promoting harp music in Japan. Since the first competition held in 1987, it has been held annually in cooperation with Soka City.

Costs for the festival are £80.00 per adult delegate for the whole event, with £60.00 per child and £20.00 per spectator (only available with a Child). This covers the whole event (four classes, evening social which includes a buffet supper, entertainment and concert) with the exception of the trip to the Museum of Welsh Life.
Alternatively, each individual class is £25.00 each £15.00 per child and £5.00 per spectator (only available accompanying a child). The Social evening is £10.00 for children and £20.00 for adults. The concert is £10.00 for everyone.
Trip to the Museum of Welsh Life is £20.00 per person - to inlclude a private viewing of the historical harps in the store and lecture (suitable for adults and children) plus a chance to look round the museum.

Fitkin Wall Tour - May to September 2007
Harpist Ruth Wall and composer Graham Fitkin are performing at various venues throughout the UK this summer.

Harp Course for 9 to 14 Year Olds - 16th-19th August at Glastonbury
This course is for 9-14 year olds to improve their existing harp skills in an environment that is fun, friendly and challenging. The event will combine workshops and ensemble playing with swimming, orienteering and T-shirt printing. An informal concert will end the course.

Park Stickney will be taking part in the International Harp Academy "Harp Masters" in Switzerland this August. He will be giving a solo jazz concert (titled "Action Harp") in the Gutenberg museum in the beautiful town of Fribourg.
The following day there will be a workshop where he will work with participants both individually and in groups.The group will explore improvisation, some jazz standards, the blues, some (very friendly) jazz theory, pedal slides (many, many pedal slides), and much more.
If youre already playing jazz, or if youve always wanted to try, this class will be both fun and informative, all in a beautiful setting.

She studies with world famous virtuoso harpist David Watkins.Helen-Elizabeth has a thriving teaching practice of 40 students stretching from Cirencester in the west to Lincoln in the East, with a pass rate of 100% with ABRSM.

Since then he was a founder member of the New Welsh National Opera Orchestra under James Lockhart. David performed his own harp concerto with the London Philharmonic at the Royal Festival Hall. He is Professor of Harp at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and his lecture recitals are celebrated in many Countries.

Benslow Harp Course

Intensive sessions to expand the participants' musical and technical horizons. Benefit from the wealth of diverse professional experience offered by the tutors. Deliberately small classes put the emphasis on individual attention and all students perform every day. The Focus is on solo repertoire, but flute and harp, and orchestral repertoire will also be studied. The course will start at 11am on the Tuesday and finish on the Saturday evening. There will be a public recital on the Thursday evening, free to course members.

From Bird Creek, Alaska, Cheyenne Brown has played the clarsach for eight years. She moved to Scotland in 2002 to study traditional Scottish music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she received a BA in 2005 and is now pursuing Honours.
