Harp Servicing

The harp combines wood and metals with an off-centre stress, which can exceed 1600lbs. As metal and wood have different co-efficients of expansion and contraction, temperature and humidity can also combine to test the construction.

With this degree of tension, the body of the harp is changing slowly all the time and so the harp must be maintained and kept in adjustment. Therefore, in order to maintain the good health of your harp for many years, periodic attention from a trained technician is strongly advised.

Harps can be brought to our workshops for an annual checkover and any necessary work carried out, subject to a free workshop estimate. For advice on servicing your harp please contact us at Clive Morley Harps. Our opening hours are: Monday to Saturday 9.30am to 4.30pm.
