Servicing Studios 2009
We have introduced a monthly Servicing Studio. Harps can be brought to our workshops in Filkins for repair or restoration - or just for an annual service. After a free estimate, any necessary work will be carried out by a fully trained and experienced harp technician. We offer regulation and adjustment (tuning); servicing and replacement of small parts; repair; restoration and decoration. Harpists for Peace Day
Harpists from all over the world will play for an hour at 2pm (local time) on 19th July 2009, near important public buildings, town squares, places of political significance etc, to promote World Peace.Harpists of all ages and all standards, professional and amateur, are encouraged to take part, and can sign up here.
Hands on the Harp
Hands on the Harp sessions are basic workshops for beginners, as well as those who just want to come along to see what the harp is all about. Learn elementary technique and have all your burning questions answered in a gentle and informal environment.The sessions are held at our showrooms near Lechlade and are led by Ruth Thomas, Sales Assistant at Morley Harps and an experienced harp teacher. Many important pieces of harp music from the Clive Morley Sheet Music Collection are now available to download for free. They are fully printable at high resolution and carry a Morley Harps watermark. Those who do not wish to download music can purchase facsimile editions without watermarking. These editions are spiral bound and printed on high quality paper.
